Description Street group of tradesmen and customers, China
Details

'Street Groups'. In every city 'these sort of people are to be counted by the thousand'. On the left, 'our venerable friend Ahong', a soup-maker, with a seated customer. In the centre, a public scribe and fortune-teller who is also an oculist, with a lady customer. Behind him, 'one of the begging pests of Kiu-kiang'. Next, a barber, and last, a wood-turner with his customer who is examining a wooden ladle.
