SS Olympic - Plan of First Class Passenger Accommodation

Plan of First Class Passenger Accommodation for the SS Olympic, also advertising the Titanic, the new triple screw in commission April 1912. The plan has numerous notations including the parlour suite B41 believed to be in the hand of William Dobbyn, godson of John Jacob Astor IV who lost his life when the Titanic sank. As Mr Astor only travelled on the Olympic once, it would appear to relate to his outbound leg to Europe for his honeymoon after his wedding to 18 year old Madeleine Force. The inbound leg of their trip back to New York was on the Titanic. The plan is in a fragile condition and sections of it have been removed. Exceptionally rare relic from a trip to Europe by Titanic's wealthiest passenger which culminated with Mr Astor's death
