Route des Alpes - France - Col du Telegraphe. Caught the 7.30 am bus at Briancon. We left the river and started zigzagging up a one-lane road without many fences and with lots of hairpin turns and very steep grades. We reached the Col (1, 600m), where we could get our first high view of the mountains
