Adoration of the Magi, by Sandro Botticelli, in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. The paitning shows a large group of persons gathered around Joseph and the Madonna with the Child on her knee. Some of the people in the group are portraits of members of the Medici circle, such as Lorenzo the Magnificent, Agnolo Poliziano, Pico della Mirandola, Cosimo il Vecchio, Piero the Gouty, Giovanni and Giuliano dei Medici, perhaps Giovanni Agiropulo, Lorenzo Tornabuoni and the donor Lami. On the far right of the work is a self portrait of Botticelli. The scene is set before a shed with a ruined loggia in the background
