Allegory of Justice painted by Giotto on the lower part of the right wall of the Scrovegni Chapel in Padua. Justice is shown as a woman seated on a gothic throne. She holds two plates of a pair of scales on which are shown, on the right, an angel crowning a sage, and on the left an angel with drawn sword about to strike a sinner. In the lower frieze are shown scenes of dance, hunt, riding, symbolizing happiness and prosperity
