Painting by Michelangelo of The Holy Family, known also as the Tondo Doni, from the name of the patron. It is in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. At the center of the painting the Virgin is taking the Christ Child from the arms of Saint Joseph who is behind her. Behind the Holy Family are figures of nude men. A low wall separates the Virgin, Saint Joseph and the child from the pagan figures. The young saint John observes the Sacred Family from behind the low wall
