Painting by Perugino of the Pieta, in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. The Virgin is seated below a portico with the body of her son on her lap. The Magdalene, on the right, holds Christ's feet. Behind her Joseph of Arimathea. Saint John the Evangelist on the left holds the head. Behind him is Nicodemus
