Well known and less well known people making their way to a Festival of Light rally, in protest at increasing permissiveness in British society and the media. Among them are Lord Longford, Mary Whitehouse, Malcolm Muggeridge, Colonel Orde Dobbie, and one of the movement's founders, Peter Hill. The Nationwide Festival of Light had a strong evangelical Christian basis, later evolving into CARE, Christian Action Research and Education
