1962-06-00 Prisoners Of The Wilderness Five of the Last Ten: (standing) HK Hamadziripi, Maurice Nyagumbo ands Mushonga, (seated) Nyandoro and Chikerema. For three years veteran leaders of the banned Southern Rhodesian ANC were restricted to remote Gokwe area. This was the first full personal interview story to come out of the Gokwe Restriction Area in Southern Rhodesia where a band of leaders have been detained for more than three years. The last ten (only two of whom have their wives with them) were glad to see someone from the outside world that they hugged him. Then the words just came pouring out of them(Photograph by R.
