1980 - Winnie Mandela talking to South African journalists. On her left is Seth Mazibuko, one of the leaders of the 1976 Soweto student uprising. He was detained by the police and, at age sixteen, was sentenced to five years imprisonment. Later he became chief executive of the June 16th 1976 Foundation which was formed to keep alive the memories and lessons of a watershed moment in South African history
