1981 - Who Was Behind The Plot To Topple Kaunda? - At The Courts:Former Minister of Home Affairs, Aaron Milner (left) with former Governor of the Bank of Zambia, Valentine Musakanga (centre) walk away from Lusaka Magistrates Courts after Musakanga's habeas corpus hearing. A few years ago while Minister of Home Affairs, Milner was rumoured to have externalised millions of Zambian Kwacha, the allegations which finally cost him his job. President Kaunda suspended him and ordered an investigations into the case. The romours were proved unfounded and gave Milner the verve to declare that the authors of the cash rumours and those accusing him of being one of the coup plotters were the same individious gang of three that bore him a grudge.
