3 October 1965 The Big Jazz Feast Kicks Off Abegail Kubeka. Three of the jazz artists who will be take taking part in the Rand contests Abegail Kubeka, Alan Kwela and Sol Rachilo. Curries Fountain, Durban, was this week confirmed as the venue for the biggest jazz clambake ever, the National Jazz 65 Festival organised by the African Musical Promotions and POST. The date is December 18. The nation-wide festival has already caused a great deal of interest among jazz musicians throughout the countryand aims to bring the cream of jazz into the national lime light.
