April 1955 20 Years Of Senor Jazzmo Antonio Saude
April 1955 20 Years Of Senor Jazzmo Antonio Saude, the man from Portuguese East Africa who took South Africa by storm 20 years ago. And is still rocking the ole town! He plays trumpet, violin, trombone, cornet, guitar, mandolin, saxophone, clarinet, banjo, ukelele, euphonium and the bombadin. You wouldn't guess his age, but he's 51: Musician, plumber, carpenter, band conductor, founder of jazz bands and father. (Photograph by Drum Photographer @ Baileys Archive)
