Bush of Ghosts - Life and War in Namibia 1986-1990 - The day after. 2nd September 1988. The bombing of the Continental Hotel, one of the largest explosions in Windhoek during this period, killed two people and wounded 15. One of those killed was Andrew Crocker, a naturalised Australian citizen who supported the making and marketing of Aboriginal art in that country's Central Western Desert, and who had dedicated much of his life to highlighting the injustices suffered by black Australians. He was on his way to visit the Kalahari region to investigate the conditions of the Ju/Wasi Bushmen, together with photographer Paul Weinberg, who had arrived from Johannesburg and was expecting Crocker's call when the bomb exploded
