Church Street in the 1890s
Church Street in the 1890s from Ford Bros. (no. 199) to Chapel Street. The building occupied by Standial, chemist, was erected by J.w. Ackerman, who opened business there as a pharmacist in August 1854. He was later Sir John Ackerman, Speaker of the House of Assembly. The building still stands
