December 1955 Chitepo Wedding Mr. Herbert Chitepo and Miss Victoria Mahamba-Sithole leaving church after the solemnization of their wedding. Mr. Chitepo is a barrister-at-law and is the first African Advocate to appear in a Rhodesian Supreme Court. His wife became the first South African woman to qualify as a probation officer in England. She also became the first African Woman in South Africa to be appointed secretary of the Y. W. C. A in charge of non-white activities.
