December 1958 - We Thought We'd Found A Mermaid! - And Then She Stood Up. She had neither fins nor tail, only legs. The luscious, land-loving limbs of a girl. Yep, we thought we'd done it. Done found a mermaid, we thought. That's me, Alfred Attoh, and my colleague Christian Gbagbo. We're both shutterbugs, you know. And could you blame us! We were just taking an early morning jaunt along the beach when, out of the sleeping sea, blossomed a flower of beauty. A mermaid, we gasped to ourselves.
