February 1967 - Swinging Night - At the gala opening of Nongqause, on Friday night: pipe-smoking Irene Moyo in traditional Xhosa garb with Innocentia Ngubeni. Socialite showgoes took out their evening suits, evening gowns, jewellery and mink coats for the first time in years on Friday night, and made the gala opening of the music-play, Nongqause a glittering and swinging affair.
