January 1959 - Uganda Enjoys Its Election Fever - UNC Victors: UNC Legislative Council members and party organiser. Practically every man and woman outside Ankole, Buganda, and Bugisu had the chance to vote. And about 85 per cent of the people did. The elections were fiercely contested.
