June 27 1971 - Chocolate bars give colour bars the KO at The Eagle's feast. Kids from orphanages and schools all over Peninsula had a what of a time aboard the good ship HMS Eagle on Friday. The massive British aircraft carrier, in Cape Town for five days, threw a massive feast for the kids. The youngsters had fancy caps, lots to eat, a barrel of fun.. and gave a lesson in race relations to their elders as Black and White sat side by side without a thought about colour.
