March 1959 - All Africa Met Here - Home At Last: After meeting five times in Europe, the All-African People's Conference finally comes home. In a few years from now, we can envisage that all Africa will be free from colonial rule. Nothing can stem our onward march to independence and freedom, Kwame Nkrumah told the conference. All Africa is walking up, growing up, joining up. We arrived at one of the great turning points in history. And in this tremendous Continental movement, it is West Africa that is giving the lead and setting the pace. The Accra Talks were one more strong step on the road to a free and united Africa.
