March 1960 - Ben Baartman Goes Back To Exile - Last Visit, Ben Baartman got back to Worcester too late to bury his wife. Friiends told him it had been a big funeral. But, alone in the graveyard, he paid his last respect to her. Big Ben Baartman came back to Worcester. By the grace of the South African Government which had banished him to a far distant territory for reasons unstated, he was allowed back for two weeks to find a home for his children after his wife died while he was in exile.
