March 1963 - The Killings At Bashee River - The Police
March 1963 - The Killings At Bashee River - The Police arrived at the scene with helicopters. I stood on the banks of the Bashee River a few days after the killing. Because of the slaughter of five people, the spot where i stood near the Bashee River bridge on the Umtata Engcobo road in the Eastern Transkei, has become an unhappy part of South Africa's history.
