March 22 1975 - At 68 the tall Nemathaka is in the generation between Muthomi and ours and it is, therefore, not suprising that he is the last of the makers of the mbila-mutondo. Playing this set, which is now owned by a chief, is Nemathaka (right), and a friend. This set has four bars and all the gourds normally placed under each bar for resonance missing.
