Murphy Morobe, who served three years in prison on Robben Island for his role as one of the leaders of the Soweto Uprising in June 1976. He helped form the United Democratic Front (UDF) in 1983 and after the end of apartheid went on to serve as spokesperson for President Thabo Mbeki.
