For the first time, in the intense competition of world athletics, Africans have carved up the cinders and come out equal. Africans are now winning just as many medals as the established white athletes. For the first time since they began thirty-six years ago, the British Empire and Commonwealth Games were held this year in a black country, in hot and steamy Kingston, capital of Jamaica.
