October 1952 The Old Stagers! The Midway Keys are veterans of show business. Midway Keys are here seen preparing a new tap dancing routine for their coming tour in December. (left to right): Paddy Bhengu, Johnny Tate, light footed Robert Seleke and veteran China Busson. They got together quite by chance, for love of music. They came from all parts of the union too. Neatly dressed and well groomed Paddy Bhengu came from Bughersdorp (Cape). The new Midway Keys were formed in 1950.. a year of musical flops when musicians lost nearly 1, 000 in unpaid bookings and engagements, but Paddy's lads survived the blow and they are now planning an extensive tour of the Union.
