October 1959 - Horror Bomb - Stick waving Krobo Edusei
October 1959 - Horror Bomb - Stick waving Krobo Edusei, Minister of Transport, takes a stand for a ban on atom bomb testing in the Sahara. At first reports about nuclear bomb explosions read to us like stories from another world. Then France said it proposed to test an atom bomb in the Sahara. Ghana led the protest against the test because of fears that it would bring deadly dust into our country, with untold possibilities for harm. (Photograph by Drum Photographer BAHA)
