October 1961 - War Without Guns - Delivering the remnants
October 1961 - War Without Guns - Delivering the remnants of the White missionaries belongings to the sister-in-Charge of the Chilonga Mission Hosptal, for safe keeping. Thirthy-eight schools in Northern Rhodesia had been burned, 34 of them in the Northern Territory, many churches, houses, huts and shops had been left in ruins, agricultural experimental areas had been blazed. And 1500 Africans had been arrested, 738 had been convicted and more were being rounded up every day. (Photograph by Drum Photographer BAHA)
