Reverend John Knox Bokwe (1855-1922). Bokwe (Bhokhwe) a Xhosa Presbyterian minister, journalist and composer. He was Secretary and Book Keeper for 27 years at Lovedale Institution. In 1885 he published a collection of his hymns and songs, Amaculo aseLovedale/Lovedale music'; amongst other things, he also wrote the biography of Ntsikana, entitled Ntsikana; the story of an African convert in 1914
