R.W. Murray Snr.. Photograph showing Richard William Murray (1819-1908). A Journalist and newspaper proprietor. 1854 he became the editor of the Cape Monitor, 1856 joined Darnell in founding the Cape Argus. Had a lifelong interest in mining ventures. 1866/7 finally settled in Kimberley. He used the pseudonym Limner'. Photograph by S.B. Barnard
