September 1959: Flying High In Ghana - Back From trip to another country, Ghana Airways Plane stands silent in Accra Hangar while Engineers check for faults. THE WEALTHY KUMASI woman trader walked down the steps leading from the aircraft, enthusiastically shook hands with an official of the airline and said:'It was so pleasant! I wonder why I never thought before of flying to Accra and Takoradi to do business. she was not the only new flying enthusiast in Kumasi that day.
