September 1964 - The day hope Died - Awolowo's Appeal Is Rejected- The appeal of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, which came up before a panel of judges at the federal supreme court, was conducted with scrupulous and yielding formality and ended with a gesture of magnanimity between the bench and the bar.
