The Shongweni Dam Wall - Durban
Durban - 31 December 2005 - The Shongweni Dam Wall on the outskirts of Durban. with the largest Hydroplus Fuse Gate system in the world. For the historian, the original water works are preserved as a national monument and surrounding the dam is a game park which stocks Rhino, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra, Impala, Waterbuck, Kudu, Wildebeest, Caracal, Black backed Jackal, Dassie, Warthog, Ostrich, 3 Duiker species, Mongoose and the smaller mammals as well as 200 species of bird
