A statue of Tsietsi Mashanini, a student leader during the 1976 Soweto uprising, at the Morris Isaacson High School in Jabavu, Soweto.Mahanini led a march from the school to protest agains the use of Afrikaans as a medium of instruction in black schools on June 16th 1976. He died in exile in Guinea (Conakry) in 1990
