Joe Davis, World Snooker and British Billiards Champion, and Herbert Holt, North of England snooker champion, who together took part in a 3-day exhibition of billiards and snooker at Electricity House, Pier Road, Erith in April 1946. The event was held to raise funds for Erith Hospital. The event was opened by the Mayor Erith, Alderman T C Pannell, JP
