Alexander Calder
In 1973, ?aBraniff International Airways?acommissioned Alexander Calder to paint a full-size?aDouglas DC-8-62?aas a flying canvas. In 1975, Calder completed a second airplane, this time a?aBoeing 727aC"291, as a tribute to the?aUS Bicentennial.
