Philemon and Baucis, an old married couple who live in a cottage in Phrygia, entertain two disguised gods unawares. Despite their poverty, they are the only ones in the town to welcome the disguised Zeus and Hermes (Jupiter and Mercury), into their home. They are seen here providing food and drink at their table -- magically, the contents of the jug are not exhausted
