The Castle of the Counts
An etching showing a scene in the shadows cast by the Castle of the Counts, or The Gravensteen, at Ghent, East Flanders in Belgium. The castle dates from 1180, and was residence to the Counts of Flanders up until 1353, from which is became various other establishments including a prison, court, mint and cotton factory
