 : The Good Samaritan

The Good Samaritan

This oil painting depicts the biblical parable of the good Samaritan, told by Jesus in the Gospel of Luke. The nude and beaten Jewish traveller on the ground, in clear need of assistance, was avoided by a Jewish priest and Levite, until this Samaritan on horseback came along, traditionally, Samaritans and Jews despised each other, but he chose to help him
