A bookbinding of the Missale Romanum, a liturgical book of the Roman Rite, in possession of Archbishop Daniel Patrick Mannix. This volume is bound in crimson Levant Morocco. The centre cross is mounted with a black opal and the doublures are richly tooled in gold with a bishop's mitre and an ecclesiastical design
