Mrs. Macquarie
Portrait from a miniature which now belongs in the Hobart Museum. The subject lady is Elizabeth Macquarie, second wife of Lachlan Macquarie, Governor of New South Wales between 1810 and 1821. She is recognised in the naming of various Australian landmarks including Mrs Macquarie's Chair and Elizabeth Street in Hobart
