Samson And The Lion

This sculpture forms a depiction of part of Samson's Riddle, chapter 14 of the Book of Judges. Samson encounters a Philistine lady in the city of Timnah, whom he decides to marry, en route to her, he is attacked by a lion, the Spirit of the Lord comes upon him, giving him the strength to tear the lion apart with his bare hands
