Suffrage N.U.W.S.S Croydon Branch 1909. In November 1909, the Croydon Branch of the National Union of Women's Suffrage Societies organised a Suffrage Week'. On 10th and 11th November, the branch held a fundraising red and white sale which was opened by Miss Alice Abadam (C1856-1940) then president of the Beckenham Branch, London Society. Suffrage banners hang on the wall, lent to the branch for their procession on 9th November. Including Lucy Stone and Jenny Lind (both Mary lowndes)
