Suffragette Arson Hurst Park. Shows the destroyed Grand Stand at Hurst Park Racecourse, 8th June 1913, caused by an arson attack by militant suffragettes Kitty Marion (1871-1944) and Betty Giveen. Marion wrote later, the Grand Stand would make a most appropriate beacon to commemorate Emily Wilding Davison's actions at the Epsom Derby. Davison died later that day
