Original artwork by E.T Reed (Edward Tennyson Reed 1860-1933) for the suffragette card game PANKO'. This illustration shows Emmeline Pankhurst standing beside what looks like Inspector Jarvis, the policeman who was famously struck lightly on the cheek by Mrs. Pankhurst at the deputation to Asquith, 29th June 1909. Refused permission to enter the House of Commons, the W.S.P.U leader gave cause for her arrest. Notice the policeman has sticking plasters on his cheek! This design was never used in the card game, Mrs. Pankhurst ('Pank Pank Pank') stands all alone
