A moveable card or optical toy referring to the W.S.P.U leader Christabel Pankhurst, who eluded police by fleeing to France in 1912. It comprises a sheet of card with a tab at the base which, when pulled, reveals a second picture. The first has Christabel, with policeman and outstretched hands, with the caption, They seek her here, they seek her there, Detectives prowling everywhere. Their heads with big importance swell'. The second shows two policemen crashing into one another, with caption, She's Gone! ELUSIVE CHRISTABEL
