Suffragette W.S.P.U Holloway Brooch

The Holloway Brooch, designed by Sylvia Pankhurst, for presentation to W.S.P.U released prisoners. It depicts the portcullis symbol of the House of Commons with chains and broad arrows in purple, white and green. It was known as the Victoria Cross of the Union, and was first issued in 1909
