Votes for Women Clock Suffrage Doing Time Prison
A clock depicting a suffragette, holding a Votes for Women banner in a prison cell. The woman wears a hat, long coat and spectacles and has a tortured look on her face. A copy of the prison rules and a window with bars are in the background. The word TIME is inscribed below the recessed time piece. The clock is made in a pewter coloured metal, screwed onto a wooden frame. The figure is in relief. There is no makers mark but certainly English in origin. Stand 19cm in height and 14cm wide
