A group of women working as carpenters making ammunition boxes or wooden storage cases. Most hold tools such as drills, planes and hammers. In the background there are stacked large numbers of wooden boxes. The reverse of the card is dated May 1918 and the location is Caversham near Reading. The factory may have been Samuel Elliott and Sons, a large joinery firm in Caversham
